Agreement
Last updated: 17 March 2026
By creating an account, submitting a project, supplying verification information, or otherwise using IndieRanks, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance and who we are
IndieRanks is operated by SwiftBee Ltd ("SwiftBee", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and SwiftBee regarding your use of the IndieRanks website, submission flows, leaderboard pages, founder or project profiles, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. If you use IndieRanks on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. The service
IndieRanks is a public leaderboard for small indie apps. The Service may let you create an account, submit a project, provide founder information, share product metrics or growth figures, add verification references, browse ranked listings, and compare projects across brackets or filters.
We may use automated scoring, sorting, moderation, eligibility, deduplication, and anti-abuse systems in connection with rankings and submissions. We may also change how categories, brackets, or leaderboard views work over time.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it reasonably up to date. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login methods.
You may sign in through supported third-party identity providers. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe your account credentials are compromised, your account is being misused, or your use creates security or legal risk for us or other users.
You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. The Service is not intended for children.
4. Project submissions and verification
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of the information you submit to IndieRanks, including project names, founder names, descriptions, categories, links, logos, metrics, growth percentages, and verification references.
You must only submit information and materials that you have the right to use and disclose. You must not knowingly submit false, misleading, inflated, or unverifiable metrics.
We may review, request clarification on, edit for formatting, reject, suspend, or remove submissions. Any verification badge or label reflects the information available to us at the time of review and is not a warranty, guarantee, endorsement, or certification of future accuracy.
IndieRanks may define and change bracket thresholds, ranking formulas, graduation rules, and submission eligibility criteria, including removing projects that no longer fit the stated scope of the platform.
5. Public listings and community features
IndieRanks is public by design. When a project is listed, some or all of the following may be visible to the public: project name, founder name, category, tagline, description, website link, logo, headline metrics, growth figures, bracket placement, timestamps, and verification type or status.
Public listings may be indexed by search engines, cached by third parties, or archived outside our control. If you believe a listing is inaccurate or should be reviewed, contact support@swiftbee.co.uk.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use IndieRanks to:
- submit false, deceptive, infringing, defamatory, abusive, or unlawful content;
- impersonate another person or organisation or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
- game, manipulate, or interfere with rankings, filters, verification workflows, or platform integrity;
- scrape, probe, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service or its supporting infrastructure;
- upload harmful code, malware, or files intended to interfere with users or the Service;
- circumvent access controls, anti-abuse measures, or submission restrictions.
7. Third-party services and data sources
IndieRanks may rely on or reference third-party services such as Google, Firebase, GitHub, Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, and other platforms that you choose to use as sign-in, hosting, analytics, or verification sources. Those services are independent from us and may have their own rules, privacy notices, fees, and availability limits.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of any third-party source complies with that provider's terms. We do not guarantee ongoing access to any external platform or the accuracy of third-party information supplied through it.
8. Your content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content and materials you submit to IndieRanks ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, format, reproduce, display, and distribute Your Content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Service.
This licence includes using Your Content in public leaderboard cards, project or founder pages, previews, moderation workflows, backups, and reasonable marketing or product-improvement contexts connected to IndieRanks.
IndieRanks, its branding, site design, and related materials are owned by SwiftBee Ltd or its licensors. If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation.
9. Disclaimers
IndieRanks is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, ranking position, traffic, visibility, metric accuracy, or that a project will remain listed, verified, or eligible for a given bracket. User-submitted information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service, or remove content or listings, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, created legal or security risk, submitted misleading information, or otherwise used the Service in a way that harms the platform or other users.
You may stop using IndieRanks at any time. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including sections relating to public content, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and general terms.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Subject to the previous paragraph, SwiftBee Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, opportunities, or business interruption arising from or related to the Service.
Subject to applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of GBP 100 and the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. General terms
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version with a new effective date. If you continue to use IndieRanks after those updates take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes relating to them will be subject to the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
